Through a partnership between the Universidad de los Andes and W Radio, in alliance with ScotiaBank Colpatria, Supertiendas Olímpica, and the Alumni Association of the Universidad de los Andes – Uniandinos we join forces once more for ¡Vamos Pa’lante!, a campaign that aims to award scholarships that will support undergraduate students for one semester from the Universidad de los Andes, EAFIT, ICESI, the Autonomous University of Manizales, the University of Ibagué and the Technological University of Bolívar, who are at risk of dropping out due to continued economic challenges facing the county.
According to reports from the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN), the University dropout rate in Colombia has increased in recent years, going from 8.25% in 2019 to 23.5% in 2021. Given these alarming statistics, we recognize that education should not be halted. As such, this year, the campaign seeks to support undergraduate students from the second semester onward who are facing severe economic struggles and cannot afford to pay tuition and basic logistical needs like transportation and food security.
The goal will be to raise at least 1 million dollars to grant a minimum of 500 rescue and support scholarships to deserving students across all the participating universities. The collection of donations for this philanthropic initiative will take place from October 3 to December 24, 2022.

Prior Impact
Over the past four years, through the Pa’lante and Vamos Pa’lante campaigns, we have raised 6.2 million dollars thanks to the more than 3,380,000 donations received and benefit 3,350 students who face daily challenges to continue their education.
