In Colombia, one out of every three university students drops out before graduation, mainly due to financial difficulties. Many young people are forced to abandon their dreams of earning a degree and building a better future simply because they cannot afford tuition or basic living expenses.
To address this urgent issue, Universidad de los Andes and W Radio, in partnership with four other leading Colombian universities — Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar, EAFIT (Cali), and ICESI (Medellín) — are proud to launch the eighth edition of the Vamos Pa’lante campaign.
This national initiative aims to mobilize individuals, companies, and organizations around the world to support students through donations that fund scholarships for tuition and/or living expenses. Scholarships at each institution will be tailored to the specific needs identified for their students.
Our 2025 goal is ambitious but achievable: we aim to raise 9 billion Colombian pesos (approximately USD $2.3 million) to support 1,200 students from diverse regions across the country.

Here’s how your support can change lives:
- A USD 12,600 donation will fund one national scholarship.
This contribution covers one semester of tuition for five students (one at each partner university).
- A USD 5,200 donation will fund one Uniandes scholarship.
This contribution covers one semester of tuition and one semester of living expenses for a Uniandes student.
