Agrolab
The Agrolab project has innovated in architectural models in urban gardens and also seeks that the different Uniandes faculties make new proposals to have a look from different disciplines and know their implications.
The Agrolab of the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá is a center belonging to the Vice Chancellor for Research, and since 2019 is part of the Agro portfolio of initiatives of the University. The AgroLab has been created to provide a space for open dialogue, research, creation, and collaborative work in an environment for multidisciplinary interaction, oriented to experimentation and education in agriculture and food for the well-being of people and participating urban and regional communities. The AgroLab implements innovation processes as a living laboratory (Living Lab) to maximize opportunities for collaboration and co-creation by integrating traditional knowledge with human and scientific disciplines. Different technologies and food production strategies are compared and investigated within a context of exploration and discovery that seeks to have a local and regional impact on its results.
Contributing to the development of AgroLab, will allow to strengthen the interaction of teachers, students and external communities through projects and results of research, creation and education, aimed at the generation and transfer of knowledge and awareness around food production, its relationship with the environment and food safety.
